Ice blanketed Northeastern Arkansas last week, shutting down power and causing other general havoc. This left the lead of Tadley, Inc.’s data conversion team, Brenda Whitman, without power and unable to complete data conversion on several projects. I should really say that ordinarily this would have left Brenda with no way to get things done. But, Brenda is very resourceful and devoted to meeting her client’s needs. Instead of sitting around waiting for power to be restored in the area Brenda braved the icy roads and purchased a generator, set it up at her house and was back online within a short period of time. This reminds me of the stories I used to read about FedEx drivers who overcame all obstacles to deliver their service. Brenda didn’t have to do this and she didn’t wait for someone else to prompt her to. She just found a solution and made it work. I’m thankful to Brenda for her leadership and her desire to take care of our customers. My hat is off to her. This is a reminder of how I should constantly strive to serve our customers as well.
